The Anstey Players is a village group with members from their local area. They put on two to three shows per year, including a pantomime each winter. They meet at the URC Church Hall in Anstey. To find out more give them a call on 0116 288 6846. For their Facebook page click here.
BARROW PANTO GROUP
Barrow Panto Group was established some 15 years ago and has been thriving ever since. As a sub-group of BUSCA, it has open membership for any adult who wishes to join and a limited number of places for young people from 8+. Their primary purpose is to put on a family pantomime for the entertainment of the village and surroundings and for their own enjoyment. Rehearsals take place on Wednesday evenings in Humphrey Perkins School hall. They now have a youth group that performs shows separately so two groups for the price of one!! EAST LEAKE AMATEUR PLAYERS
ELAPS is an Amateur Dramatics group located in the Village of East Leake in Rural Nottinghamshire. The group is self funded and run by its members who comprise more than 70 in number with ages ranging from 8 to 80!

GLENFIELD METHODIST DRAMA GROUP
A group who meet to the North of Leicester who are always looking for new members. There’s not much on their website at the moment but still give it a quick visit.
HIGHCLIFFE AMATEUR THEATRICAL SOCIETY (HATS)
HATS are a friendly, community drama group, meeting Wednesday evenings at Highcliffe Primary School, Greengate Lane, Birstall. They schedule two productions each year – a play in the spring and a pantomime at the end of November.They are always keen to welcome new members, whether you are interested in acting, singing or getting involved in the backstage work that is so important in making a success of a production. HUNCOTE AMATEUR THEATRE SOCIETY (also HATS)
HATS was formed in 1987, their first production being “Billy Liar”. At that time they performed once per year but now find themselves putting on no less than four shows each year. RUTLAND ARTS THEATRE SOCIETY
RATS were formed in 1974 and the first production, ‘Cinderella’ was performed at Braunston Village Hall in January 1975. There has always been a regular cycle of 3 performances a year, a panto at the start of the year, a play in the Spring and sometimes a musical show or aseries of one act plays in the Autumn. SOUTH KESTEVEN ACTING & MUSICAL PLAYERS (SKAMP)
Skamp was formed in 2007 by a group of people locally to Bourne and Stamford to fill a need for performers in that area. It was established to perform not only Musicals, but Plays, Variety Shows, Murder Mystery evenings even an 80’s evening and anything the members wanted to “have a go at”. With a modern day committee of consisting of only a Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer – the rest of the committee is made up of the paid up members of the society. Visit their website here
SOUTH WIGSTON MUSICAL THEATRE COMPANY (SWMTC)
South Wigston Musical Theatre Co. (formally Methodist) is better known by their initials, SWM. They are one of the oldest groups in Leicestershire still performing today at Guthlaxton College. The Group normally produces two shows every year, including a musical in the summer and a traditional pantomime after or around christmas. SWINFORD OPERATIC & DRAMATIC SOCIETY (SODS)
The Swinford Operatic & Dramatic Society is known to most as S.O.D.S. They are a long-standing village group who focus on providing family entertainment – especially an annual pantomime, which is very well-loved and supported. Their membership is drawn from all ages and abilities, and they encourage and welcome new members. There are lots of opportunites to try out new things so if you have ever wanted to act, do costume, make-up, set build or sing, just come and say hello. THRISSINGTON PANTO & DRAMA SOCIETY
TPADS is a stage society based in Thrissington. It’s a non profit making organisation which provides entertainment to their local community and was formed in 1975 to perform an annual pantomime .
